David Production's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure vs My Style

Completed the Assassin in my style! (The last of all 6) 

After starting the original composition months ago, I was no longer feeling the original pose, and it did not have the background prompt included. Made a new pose that I was both happy with, and fulfilled the prompt!

Was thinking about having the classic JoJo japanese characters, but decided it was too much

Finished outlining the pose! 

Picked a pose that I felt would match the JoJo vibe and roughly shaded in the harsh lines from the anime and manga

I wasn't feeling my current composition and decided to go from Arcane to Jojo as my company inspiration. I began to explore poses

After putting in color, felt crowded in the middle section of the composition. Began process of moving arm downward so that more of the mechanical arm is revealed and more elements of composition would be visible. 

Began blocking in color and where light would go. This was before deciding I would go with my anime style, so began outlining afterwards before continuing to detail.

Finalized reference sheet after researching Chinese characters and culture. ​

"The Black Dragon" was assassin name chosen since it symbolizes vengeance. The Chinese character for "Animosity", which is derived from vengeance, chosen as organization name/symbol that would appear on clothing.
